Practice Starts Sunday, 5/20/18
This season we are introducing levels of training based on age, experience, and ability in order to concentrate and focus on each group’s needs. Our levels of training are based on age, experience, and ability in order to concentrate and focus on each group’s needs. Since we are the Silverbacks, we’ve divided our age groups into gorilla group names (just to make it fun). We want each athlete placed appropriately in order to build confidence and ability. Each athlete will either start at their age-appropriate level or be placed at a high level once advancement minimums have been verified. If you have a verifiable time/distance you can register at the appropriate advanced level. Every athlete will have the opportunity to move up at any time during the season.
Deadline for uniform orders extended until 10:00 am 5/14/18
All athletes need to be USATF members in order to participate. USATF memberships for youth are $20 per calendar year. Your membership comes with several USATF benefits as well as insurance.
Want to first try a session for $25.00 before registering to see how you like it? Just email us and let us know which practice you’d like to try. If you decide to join the team your payment of $25.00 will be deducted from your registration fee. Please print, sign and bring with you to practice Non USATF Member Waiver_One Time

Become a Silverback Today!
Character is your reaction to circumstances. Character holds up against the highs and lows of life. Character is not personality. Character is a choice. Character First!
We are a developmental club focusing on technique, proper conditioning, character development, and a love of track and field. Whether you’ve been competing with your school or have never participated, we work with you to bring out your best. If you’re striving to compete in Junior Olympics or would just like to try out a few meets and see how far you can go, we’d love to have you on our team.
Why Do We Call Ourselves The Silverbacks?
A silverback is a mature male mountain gorilla, distinguished by an area of silvery hair across the back, and is the dominant member of its social group. We call ourselves the Silverbacks because we’re the 800 lb. gorilla in the room. We’re the unexpected. We’re the question demanding to be addressed. We’re different than all the other programs because you’re not just one of many, you become an integral part of our team. We are injury prevention specialists. We’re here to give you answers, find solutions to your problem, develop you like you’re the only athlete on the team, and guide you in your athletic career. We coach, train, and develop. We’re innovative and use different training methods than most. We care about who you are, where you’re going, and how you get there.
If you have heart, a desire to learn, a teachable spirit, and commitment, then we want YOU!
Come train with us and see the difference. Become the 800 lb. gorilla in the room that no one knows what to do with, but can’t ignore! Let them see your silver back as you cross the finish line.
